Comes up with an Error

Dear Sir,

I use your module, with the option to use DNN SMTP settings but it came up with error "Message could not be sent
the site admin has been notified"

NB: the DNN smtp settings is working i.e. I can send emails.

Hi mnarewec

Are you using the contact form in a live or Dev environment. Could you please check the event logs and tell me what the error message is.


If you are getting a "Reply domain" matches FreeMail service used by spammers

This error can be broken down to 3 causes:

1.Incorrect POP settings (usually the SSL option for SMTP) – check with provider if it is required or not.

2.Firewall blocking ports (usually port 25) – could be 3rd party since Windows Firewall generally allows this port through, unless specifically told not to do so.

3.Your ISP is blocking the mail.

This was a common error i got while developing this module, and when i added my module to a live site using my servers smtp settings it worked like a charm.
